Person who exercises meditation gains physical, mental and spiritual benefits. It increases alertness and performance.
According to scientists humans don’t use 80% of its mental capabilities. By exercising meditation we can arise those points of the brain by which we can use our brain to the optimum level. During stress, anger, sexual urges and depression we can meditate to get our innersole to answer those questions for utmost happiness.
By meditating one get benefited not only physically but mentally and spiritually too. Meditation is very helpful fighting with insomnia, stress, high blood pressure, diabetics, digestion, hearth diseases, depression and many other ailments. By meditation, the brain’s Pituitary gland & waist’s Adrenal gland is affected and it helps in removing dangerous waste materials out of the body. It also saves body & blood’s oxygen.
For meditation, sit in Padmasana:
1. Keep your right foot on the left thigh
2. Start bouncing the right knee. If the bouncing knee easily touches the floor, then bend the left knee, take hold of the left foot with both hands, gently glide it over the crossed right leg and place it on the right thigh.
3. This will give symmetrical placement of the legs and you are in lotus position.
4. The hands should be kept on the knees with palms open, and the thumb and second finger of each hand should touch forming a letter O.
Then close your eyes and concentrate on your breath as it comes in and goes out. Take long and deep breath and feel it touching your nostrils as it comes in and goes out. In the beginning this can be done for 3-15 mins then increase it gradually.
For good effects from meditation always eat normal food, not too spicy and oily. Meditation should always be done before your food or after 2 hrs of having food.Meditation can be done by many ways; in other types of meditation people utter the word OM (ॐ) or their deity’s mantra. It’s upon you the way you feel more comfortable and relaxed. But do it daily for best results and physical, mental & spiritual gains.
