GB Syndrome - Guillain-Barré syndrome

Previous month I got a bad news about my brother-in-law, he is suffering form an unknown disease from the past 15 days. Even the doctors at the local hospitals are unaware of the disease and symptoms. Here’s how it all started, from 2-3 days he was feeling sever pains in his hands and legs. First of all his family thought it might be the regular leg pains so they massages him with some local ointment and waited for the pains to get relieved. But the pain was still there. After a week he was not able to walk and was not even able to feel his hands and legs. Now this is a serious situation, the parents thought and admitted him to the local hospital. But it’s of no use. The doctors were unaware of the disease. Then they took him to the city hospital which has good doctors. There he was diagnosed with a very rare disease GB Syndrome, which has no cure at present. It’s a very rare disease one or two in a million. Now after a month still he is not able to walk and feel his body parts. Only thing which is working is his neck and face. But doctors warned of situation can be worse if his breathing system stops working.

I was really very sad and was afraid after knowing his condition. Even I heard about this disease for the first time so I thought why not tell you all about this disease in detail, its symptoms, its support groups all over the world and what to do to partially cure this disease. The information here is taken from various medical magazines and journals and the cure mentioned here is not mine but it’s used by the doctors all over the world to partially cure this disease.

Disease Name: Guillain-Barré syndrome

Sign & Symptoms:

1. Severe pain in the lower back.
2. Weakness of the lower limbs
3. Rapidly progresses in an ascending fashion, usually over periods of hours to days.
4. Arms and facial muscles also become affected.
5. Frequently, the lower cranial nerves may be affected.
6. Very slow heart rate or low blood pressure
7. Respiratory difficulties.

Cause:

Main cause of GB syndrome is still unknown. About 60 percent of the cases it is caused by an infection affecting either the lungs or the digestive tract precedes the disorder. Scientists are still unknown of the reason that how an infection can lead to Guillain-Barre syndrome for some people and not for others. In most of the cases it appear to occur without any triggers.

It affects patients immune system, which usually only attacks alien material and invading organisms but it begins attacking the nerves that carry signals between our body and the brain. More clearly, the nerves protective covering which is called "myelin sheath" is damaged and this cause the interferece with the brain signaling process, that then cause weakness, numbness or paralysis.

Treatment:

As scientist says, there is no known cure for this disease. But below two treatments have been proved to be fastening the recovery and reduce the severity of the disease:

Plasmapheresis: Also known as plasma exchange. this is a type of "blood cleansing" in which damaging substance is removed from the blood. Plasmapheresis consists of removing the liquid portion of the blood (plasma) and separating it from the actual blood cells. The blood cells are then put back into the body, which produces more plasma to make up for the plasma which has been removed. But this is till not clear why this treatment works.

Intravenous immunoglobulin: In this treatment Immunoglobulin is taken from healthy from blood donors. High doses of Immunoglobulin contains antibodies that can block the damaging antibodies that may contribute to Guillain-Barre syndrome.

Famous people who suffered from this disease:

  • · Andy Griffith, actor on Andy Griffith Show, and Matlock. He contracted Guillain-Barré in 1983.
  • · Rachel Chagall, actress, contracted GBS in 1982. In 1987 she portrayed Gabriela Brimmer, a notable disabilities activist.
  • · Joseph Heller, author, contracted GBS in 1981. This episode in his life is recounted in the autobiographical No Laughing Matter, which contains alternating chapters by Heller and his good friend Speed Vogel.
  • · Franklin D. Roosevelt, U.S. president. In 2003, a peer-reviewed study found that it was more likely that Roosevelt's paralytic illness was actually Guillain-Barré syndrome, not poliomyelitis.
  • · Markus Babbel, former international footballer, contracted GBS in 2001, following a period suffering from the Epstein-Barr virus. He lost almost an entire year of his footballing career between the two illnesses and never again demonstrated the same level of ability that won him over 50 caps for Germany.
  • · Serge Payer, Canadian-born professional hockey player. After battling and overcoming the syndrome, Serge set up the Serge Payer foundation, which is dedicated to raising money for research into new treatments and cures for Guillain-Barré syndrome.
  • · Scott Klopfenstein, trumpeter and vocalist for the ska-punk band Reel Big Fish.

The suggestion from specialists is that one should always consult his doctor before going for any of these procedures.

Many medical journals and publications have written that the radiations emitted from X-Ray and CT-Scan is very dangerous for human beings. It can increase thepossibility of cancer in human beings.

When the research done on a group of people who undergo for CT-Scan, during CT-Scan it has been found out that their body has been exposed to approximately2-4 Millisievert (Sv, measure of radiation dose) radiation. During X-Ray, the patient’s body has been exposed to 0.03 - 0.1 Sv radiation. For acute full body equivalent dose, 1 Sv causes nausea, 2-5 Sv causes hair loss, haemorrhage and will cause death in many cases. More than 3 Sv will lead to death in 50% of cases within 30 days, and over 6 Sv survivals is unlikely.

This doesn’t mean one should not go for X-Ray and CT-Scan but before going for any such procedure always take advice from a specialist or if it’s extremely necessary. Always avoid X-Ray and CT-Scan without any necessary reason.

Climate change bought 28 new diseases

Whole world's attention is drawn on the effects of climate change on human. Due to rapid and constant change in the climateit gave easy entry to deadly diseases like malaria, dengue as other flu & viruses, because of which the World Health Organization’s World Health Day that held this year on April 7 is celebrated as 'Healthcare During Climate Change Day'.This year it is also the 60 anniversary of WHO (World Health Organization).

In a report by WHO they said in the past few years there has been rapid increase in the diseases to many parts of the world due to climate change, which has led to new diseases spread their network. In Asian nations like India and neighbouring countries dengue, malaria and other diseases have picked up momentum.

In the last few years we have seen too much fast heat and cold in the atmosphere. This kind of atmosphere is a good for many bacteria and virus to grow and spread. In last few decades, the number of viral fever patients has increased rapidly.

Usually bacteria get active according to the weather. Such as during summer the arrival of rain or cold increases their outbreak. Viral fever patients are increasing due to changes in weather because of the unusual climatic conditions all over the world. Some scientists and agencies blame global warming for these changes.

According to the international panel for climate change average temperature of the world has increased by one degree Celsius. The panel believes that the increase in the emissions of greenhouse gases in the environment is responsible for these climate changes, and it is impacting the health of people.

It is feared to be 1.8 to 4 degrees Celsius temperature increase in the coming 90 years. Global warming and the unseasonable rain have increased the number of new diseases. Also, malnutrition increased in many parts of developing nations.

Due to the diseases coming from changing weather, human body is not able to make a balance, so data of deaths is growingevery year. The biggest impact of climate change is seen on the increase of malaria outbreak and the deaths because of this deadly disease. In the last 8 years the area of influence has been increased by 10 per cent and it is predicted to be increased more and more in the coming years.

UNO has taken strict steps to control this disease that comes from climatic change and many world organizations and support groups are working in this direction. What we can do is control our carbon foot prints and increase awarenessof such deadly diseases.

Dengue or "break-bone" fever

The Disease Dengue or "break-bone" fever is a viral disease found in tropical and sub-tropical areas. It is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. This insect bites during the day and is often found in and around human habitation. Symptoms of dengue include high fever, severe headache, cough, and joint and muscle pain. A rash often follows these symptoms. The acute illness can last up to ten days, and complete recovery can take two to four weeks.

Occasionally, a potentially fatal form of dengue called dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) occurs. DHF usually occurs in patients who have previously had dengue fever, and its fatality rate is about 5 percent.

As there is no vaccine, preventing mosquito bites is the only way to prevent dengue fever.

Prevent mosquito bites Mosquitoes transmit many diseases that threaten travellers, and different mosquitoes bite at different times of the day. For example, the mosquitoes that spread malaria bite at night (from "dusk until dawn"), whereas the mosquitoes that spread dengue fever bite during the day.

Prevent bites while outdoors:

  • · Wear light-Colored clothing that covers most of the body (long sleeves and long pants).
  • · Use insect repellent that contains DEET. Adults and children more than two months of age can use preparations containing up to 35% DEET - the higher the concentration, the longer it repels. Longer acting preparations are also available. Reapply after swimming or excessive sweating. Prevent bites while you are indoors or asleep:
  • · Check that there is fly-wire on the windows.
  • · Use "knock-down" insect spray to kill mosquitoes in your room.
  • · Use mosquito coils or electric insecticide vaporizers if mosquitoes can get into your room.
  • · Note that air conditioning also repels mosquitoes.
  • · Consider using a bed net impregnated with a pyrethroid insecticide. Long-lasting pre-treated bed nets are available.
  • · Contact International SOS if you are traveling in a tropical area and develop a high fever, especially if you suffer "rigors" (shaking) or a rash.

About Avian Influenza (Bird Flu)

A 22-year-old woman who died on January 16 has been confirmed by the World Health Organization as Nigeria's first documented case of avian flu H5N1. The woman was from Lagos. Her mother died with similar symptoms on January 4 but was not tested for avian flu. Details as to how the 22-year-old may have acquired the disease are not yet available.

A number of other contacts have been under observation and remain well. Tests from all of these people have been negative for bird flu. Two incubation periods after exposure to the suspected bird flu case have passed, and these contacts are considered to be past the risk period for developing the illness.

Nigeria has been heavily affected by outbreaks of H5N1 bird flu since it was first detected in the country in February 2006. In January 2007, the states of Kano, Sokoto and Katsina all reported outbreaks in poultry.

International SOS is monitoring the situation closely and will update this alert as more information becomes available.

The information available to date indicates that the avian influenza virus has not yet acquired the ability to pass easily from person to person. The travel advisory is available at the bottom of this alert.

For further information, see the Latest News and the individual country pages of the International SOS Pandemic Preparedness Website. There, you can access latest news, detailed information on flu-affected countries, the risk of an influenza pandemic, and pandemic preparedness planning information.

"Avian flu" mainly affects poultry and waterfowl avian influenza A/H5N1, also known as "bird flu", is a disease that kills domestic poultry flocks. The outbreak began in several South East Asian countries has spread into Russia, Europe and Africa. Huge numbers of chickens, ducks, geese, and other domestic birds have been culled in affected countries in an attempt to slow or stop the spread of the virus. Other animal species, such as cats, dogs and pigs, can be infected; however whether they are able to infect humans is unknown. More than 50 countries have reported! cases am

Human cases so far the virus is contained in the excrement of infected birds and most people who have contracted bird flu work with or live near poultry. The human mortality rate is approximately 50 percent. At this time, the virus does not have the ability to spread easily from human to human.

Possibility of a human influenza pandemic (worldwide epidemic) Bird flu is a global concern. The A/H5N1 virus may undergo genetic changes that would allow it to spread easily from human to human. If this occurred, the world could face a global influenza epidemic (also known as a pandemic) similar to the 1917-18 Spanish Flu pandemic. Faced with this possibility, many countries and companies have begun making "pandemic preparedness plans". The disease continues to spread internationally, which appears to make the risk of a pandemic higher.

There appears to be little risk for travellers and expatriates at this time. Most or all humans infected have been in close contact with sick birds, or had unprotected contact with an infected family member.

INTERNATIONAL SOS TRAVEL ADVISORY

In affected countries:

  • · Avoid live animal markets and poultry and pig farms.
  • · Do not handle sick or dead birds.
  • · Avoid and do not handle any sick animals, including cats.
  • · Avoid touching any surfaces that may be contaminated by poultry droppings, and do not swim in any body of water that is used by birds.
  • · Always maintain high levels of personal hygiene. Frequent hand washing is very important. Wash hands before and after food preparation.
  • · Poultry products and eggs must be thoroughly cooked before eating. Do not consume raw poultry products, such as raw duck blood. Also thoroughly cook pork products.
  • · Consider having a seasonal influenza vaccination. Although this will not protect you against avian flu, it reduces the risk of seasonal influenza. Thus it reduces the chance of becoming co-infected with both seasonal and avian influenza; such co-infection could result in a pandemic strain of flu.
  • · While in an affected region, seek medical attention if you develop influenza-like symptoms and you have had a significant exposure to birds, particularly sick poultry. Call the medical facility before arriving for care and alert them that you may have been exposed to avian influenza.

Suspected Rift Valley fever outbreak

An outbreak of Rift Valley fever (RVF), an animal disease that sometimes infects humans, appears to have spread from Kenya into southern Somalia. Of 100 suspected cases there have been 48 deaths. One case has been confirmed to have been RVF. Many of theses cases are in the Lower Juba region.

Patients - mostly nomadic herders - died in Doble, an area about 18 km north of the Kenyan border. Their diagnosis has not been confirmed due to insecurity in the region, but animals in the area have been spontaneously aborting. This is a key sign of RVF in livestock.

Due to ongoing fighting and a recent air strike, the area is considered highly insecure. The border between Kenya and Somalia is closed and, according to WHO, the situation is "not favourable for resumption of humanitarian relief".

In addition to the fighting, recent heavy rains and flooding make it impossible to assess the outbreak effectively.

RVF has killed 162 people in Kenya since mid-December. In late 1997, after exceptionally heavy rains, an epidemic of Rift Valley fever resulted in the deaths of at least 300 people and large numbers of animals in remote parts of north-eastern Kenya, southern Kenya, and southern Somalia.

The Disease Rift Valley fever (RVF) is a viral disease that usually infects domestic animals such as cattle, sheep, goats, buffalo and camels. The disease sometimes transfers to humans, usually causing a mild flu-like illness. However, in some cases the illness can be acute and deadly.

Humans can get the disease through the bite of an infected mosquito or other bloodsucking insect. They can also contract it via contact with the blood, organs, or bodily fluids of sick animals. This contact can occur during care giving, slaughtering, or handling infected meat for food preparation. The virus may enter through the skin or via inhalation.

People infected with RVF may react in many different ways. Some will not develop symptoms. Others will have a mild, flu-like illness with fever, weakness, muscle and back pain, and dizziness. Some patients also develop meningitis-like symptoms: neck stiffness, sensitivity to light (photophobia) and vomiting.

In severe cases, people may develop a hemorrhagic fever, which can cause severe liver disease, yellowing of the eyes and skin (jaundice), and signs of bleeding including blood in the feces and vomit, bleeding gums and visible rash caused by blood pools under the skin (purpuric rash). About 50% of those who develop hemorrhagic fever die.

Other severe effects include encephalitis, or brain inflammation, and eye disease. Both of these complications occur one to three weeks after symptoms first appear. Encephalitis can cause headache, seizure, coma or death. Eye inflammation and sores can result in permanent vision loss.

There is no established treatment for RVF. Most patients recover within two days to one week.

When in affected areas, avoid contact with raw meat and bodily fluids of potentially infected animals. As there is no vaccine available, preventing mosquito bites is critical to preventing Rift Valley fever.

Meningococcal disease

The Disease Meningococcal disease is a severe, often fatal, bacterial infection. People can contract the disease if they inhale droplets that have been coughed or sneezed into the air by an infected person. Direct contact with an infected person's throat secretions (e.g. through kissing, sharing drinks) can also spread the disease.

The bacterium invades the brain and its linings, causing meningitis, and can multiply in the blood (septicemia). A characteristic red, blotchy rash occurs all over the body in most serious cases. Symptoms include fever, intense headache, vomiting, and neck stiffness. These progresses to cause coma. It is essential that infected people receive antibiotics quickly, as the disease progresses rapidly and can cause permanent brain damage or death.

Typically, epidemics of meningococcal disease occur among people who live in close quarters. Vaccines against some strains of the disease are available. People who have been in close contact with an infected person should be promptly treated with preventive antibiotics.

All travellers to Uganda are advised to be vaccinated against meningitis with the quadrivalent vaccine (serogroups A, C, Y and W135), and maintain a high level of hygiene.

To avoid infection:

  • · Avoid crowds.
  • · Wash your hands frequently whether you are sick or healthy. Encourage others to do so as well.
  • · Refrain from touching your own mouth, nose and eyes.
  • · Avoid close contact, such as kissing.
  • · Do not share drinks or food or eating utensils.

Salmonella - Linked with two peanut butter brands

Between August 2006 and February 2007 an outbreak of Salmonellosis in the United States has affected 370 people and caused 51 hospitalizations. The cases have been related to contaminated peanut butter and have occurred in 42 of the 50 United States.

The strain of Salmonella, Tennessee type, has been detected in two brands of peanut butter - Peter Pan peanut butter and Great Value peanut butter. Both products were manufactured in the same facility in Georgia, by the ConAgra Company. The Peter Pan product was shipped internationally to about 60 countries; the Great Value brand was sold in Wal Mart stores in the USA only.

Health authorities have instructed consumers to avoid eating all Peter Pan peanut butter purchased after May 2006. Also avoid eating Great Value peanut butter purchased after May 2006 if its product code starts with the numbers "2111". All other Great Value peanut butter is considered safe for consumption.

Update March 1: Some of the contaminated peanut butter was sent to another plant, in Tennessee, where it was made into peanut butter ice cream toppings. The FDA now advises consumers to avoid:

  • · Sonic Brand Ready-To-Use Peanut Butter Topping in 6 lb. 10.5 oz cans. The fast food chain Sonic used this topping until it was recalled on 2/16/07.
  • · Carvel Peanut Butter Topping in 6 lb. 10 oz. cans. Carvel used the topping until it was recalled on 2/16/07. Recalled.
  • · J. Hungerford Smith Peanut Butter Dessert Topping in 6 lb. 10 oz. cans. This is a product used in restaurants and retail venues throughout the USA. It is not available for direct purchase by the public.

The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the peanut butter manufacturers are investigating the situation. ConAgra has established a hotline for consumers: 866-344-6970 (within the USA).

The Disease - Salmonellosis occurs when people ingest Salmonella bacteria, usually by eating food contaminated with animal feces. About 12 to 72 hours after infection patients develop diarrhoea, fever and abdominal cramps. The illness lasts between four and seven days. Most people recover on their own without treatment.

In severe cases - which occur more frequently among elderly people, infants and people with compromised immune systems - the diarrhoea can become severe and require hospitalization to prevent dehydration. The infection can also spread from the intestines to the blood stream, which carries it to other parts of the body. These cases can be fatal unless quickly treated with antibiotics.

Do not eat any Peter Pan peanut butter purchased after December 2005 (older advice says May 2006, this was updated in March).

Do not eat Great Value peanut butter purchased after December 2005 if its product code starts with the numbers "2111".

If you have either of these foods, discard them.

Consider whether you have eaten peanut butter ice cream products at any of the facilities mentioned above prior to February 16, 2007. If you did, monitor your health. Salmonella symptoms typically appear within 1-3 days after eating the contaminated product.

Consult your health care provider if you have eaten any of the products involved in this outbreak and experience severe diarrhoeal illness with bloody diarrhoea, fever, or symptoms lasting more than three days.

The Optimum Diet? Some facts and advice

FAT

Saturated fat is unnecessary for the body. Omega 6 and Omega 3 oils are vital for the brain and nervous system, cardiovascular system, immune system and skin. A common sign of deficiency is dry skin.

Dietary sources:
Omega 3 – Pumpkin and flax seeds
Omega 6 – Sesame and sunflower seeds, mackerel, herring, salmon and tuna.

Heating or exposure to oxygen easily destroys these oils, so a fresh daily source is important.

Processed foods often contain hydrogenated fats, which are worse for you than saturated fats.

· Eat one tablespoon of cold-pressed seed oil or ground seeds per day.
· Avoid fried food, burnt or browned fat, saturated or hydrogenated fat.

PROTEIN

Most adults require roughly 35 grams per day of good quality protein.
The best sources are eggs, Soya, meat, fish, quinoa, beans and lentils. Animal sources tend to include saturated fat. Vegetable sources are generally less acid forming. Try to eat meat less than 3 times per week.

· Eat two daily servings of lentils, beans, quinoa, tofu (Soya), peas, broad beans or one small serving of meat, fish, cheese or a free-range egg.

· Avoid taking all protein from animal foods.

CARBOHYDRATE

Complex, slow energy releasing carbohydrates are preferable and should make up 70% of your total food intake.
Refined foods like sugar and white flour (in white bread, pasta etc.) lack many vitamins and minerals.

· Eat 3 or more raw or lightly cooked servings of dark green, leafy and root vegetables e.g. watercress, carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli, sprouts, spinach, green beans, peppers.

· Eat 3 or more servings of fresh fruit such as apples, pears, berries, bananas, melon or citrus fruit.
· Eat 4 or more servings of whole grains such as rice, millet, rye, oats, whole wheat, corn, cereals, breads, pasta or pulses.

· Avoid any form of sugar, foods with added sugar, and white or refined foods.

FIBRE

Rural Africans eat about 55 grams of fibre per day compared to our average of 22g, and have the lowest incidence of bowel diseases such as appendicitis, diverticulitis, colitis and bowel cancer.

The ideal intake is not less than 35g per day. This is easy if you eat whole grains such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, lentils and beans daily. Refined foods invariably lack fibre.

· Eat whole foods – whole grains, lentils, beans, nuts, seeds, fresh fruit and vegetables
· Avoid refined, white and overcooked foods.

WATER

Two thirds of the body is made up of water. The body loses 1.5 litres per day, ensuring that toxic substances are eliminated from the body. The ideal daily intake is 2 litres.

1.1kg of fruit and vegetables per day (roughly 4 servings of each) can provide the body with 1 litre, leaving 1 litre to drink

· Drink 1 litre water per day as well as diluted fruit juices, herbal or fruit teas.
· Minimise alcohol, coffee and tea, which dehydrate you.

VITAMINS

Vitamins are needed to balance hormones, produce energy, boost the immune system, make healthy skin, protect the arteries; they are vital for the brain and nervous system. They are antioxidants; they slow down the ageing process and protect the body from cancer, heart disease and pollution.

· Eat 3 or more servings of dark green, leafy and root vegetables, 3 or more servings of fresh fruit plus some nuts or seeds every day.

MINERALS

Healthy bones, nerve signals, blood sugar levels, immune system, brain function and many other processes all depend on correct mineral intake.

· Eat one serving of mineral rich foods such as kale, cabbage, root vegetables, low fat dairy products such as yoghurt, seeds, nuts and plenty of fruit, vegetables and whole foods such as lentils, beans and whole grains.

Vitamin E may reduce the risk of heart attack

A study by U.S. scientists has proved that vitamins - E intake for diabetes patients can reduce the risk of heart attack.

Researchers have made a study that it’s beneficial for those diabetes patients who have the intake of vitamins - E in their diet.

According to the researchers the additional does of vitamins – E can reduce the risk of heart attack by second kind of genes 'HP 2-2' of Heptoglobin gene. In 40 per cent of diabetes patients 'HP 2-2' genes are found.

Andrew Levy and his colleagues’ researcher have treated 1434 people with vitamin- E for 18 months. They found that whenthe ‘HP 2-2 'jeans holder people have given 400 international units of vitamin – E units every day – on these people the risk of heart attack-related deaths has been reduced to 50 per cent. Scientists have also found that the diabetespatients with HP 2-2 'genes are two - thirds times more prone to the risk of heart disease then compared to the common patients. Scientists also do not see any bad impact of the intake of vitamin E in this category of patients.

Medicines can also be deadly

Equal amounts of drugs should be taken as the doctor has written. Taking more or less medications can be harmful andmost of which may have some side effects. So, always keep in mind not to take any medicine by own, these could also be harmful for you.

Medicines to protect the lives are always not safe. If you are taking them arbitrarily manner without any medical advicethen they can also be dangerous. If any one of these the amount of medicines and its frequency are not taken care of then these medicines can be harmful to the body and sometimes could be fatal. For immediate relief form acute Asthma attacks doctors prescribe the Oral Steroids to the patient, but found that about 5 to 10 per cent of patients keep thoseprescriptions with them from eating the same drug again, when if ever a small attack take place.

Many patients, without their doctor’s permission take that medicine’s dose for a number of weeks and even months. There are serious consequences. Similarly, the blood pressure drugs without measuring the blood pressure should not be taken more or less.

Many families of patients are heard saying in the ICU of hospital that our patient has blood pressure problem from long time and he take regular drugs for this. Now, during headaches also they felt that the blood pressure has increased and take the same blood pressure pills. Because of that the blood pressure has dropped rapidly and has to admit in the ICU. Manypeople for headaches, body aches take aspirin or other pain reliving medications for several years continuously withouteven any diagnosis.

These medicines relieve from pain for some time but do not correct the root cause. And if took for long time then can cause fatal diseases like stomach ulcer, Anaemia, kidney damages, etc.

Many people take variety of vitamins and tonic for weakness. B - Complex and vitamins – C pills, if taken too much are released by the body with urine. But some soluble vitamins such as Vitamins A and vitamin D if taken more then it can hamper the body's natural process.

Likewise, one should avoid taking antibiotics by our own. Sometimes there is not at all any need of it. History of the number of patients depicts that on similar symptoms such as last time, they take the same medicines without even consulting their doctor. Any antibiotic if taken from time to time help body to generate resistant for the disease. In such a situation the lighter antibiotics won’t work to the body and doctors have to give high power antibiotics.

There are many more medicines which people usually take without consulting their doctor but we should avoid those doses and always refer your doctor before taking those easily available medicines.
